Hello Visitor,Flu ImmunisationsFlu immunisations (nasal flu spray) will take place in school on 7th November. Please follow the link below to find out more about the immunisation and to provide consent. You must provide consent via the link below in order for your child to receive the immunisation. House PointsThe school's expectation is for pupils to routinely display our school values of respect, forgiveness, courage, honesty, appreciation and kindness. This makes our school a very happy and special place and it is important for children's efforts to be acknowledged and celebrated. In Achievers' Assembly each week, I hear so many positive stories about children's wonderful work and their efforts to help others and pupils earn House Points for being such great ambassadors for the school. As well as earning House Points for their team, children also keep an individual tally. I am delighted to report that, this week, we had our first completed House Point card, very quickly followed by another four! Louie, then Amy, Jiya, Brodie and Heath were awarded their special House Point badge today and so congratulations to them all. Wear your badge with pride! BikeabilityWell done to our latest Bikeability recruits! The group took to the roads of Grendon to learn how to ride safely, manage junctions and parked vehicles and communicate with other road users. All of the children who took part passed the training and received their certificates and badges in Achievers' Assembly this morning. Air Ambulance FundraisingMany thanks for your generous donations for our Air Ambulance mufti. A grand total of £190 was collected. Remembrance DayWith half term looming, the school's fundraising for the Royal British Legion will start next week. Zip-pulls and poppy reflectors cost 50p each and snap-bands and wristbands are £1 each. Voluntary donations for the traditional paper poppies can also be made. FOGS KS2 Film NightLetters have been sent home today for FOGS KS2 Film Night next Thursday! The Drop-Off 'Drop-In'!On Friday 15th November, the Drop Off Team will be on-site to offer a 'stay and play' session for children and parents. There will be refreshments and a bouncy castle and Jo and Julie (who run The Drop Off) will be there to answer your questions and let you know more about their great breakfast and after-school provision at Grendon. Please feel free to head straight to the hall at pick-up time tomorrow if you would like to find out more about what The Drop-Off has to offer. There is no need to book in advance. This wraparound care provision is entirely reliant on sufficient pupil numbers and so please support The Drop-Off if you can. |
